UN Ghana Newsletter: view the May 2017 edition

3 May 2017, Accra

Akwaaba (welcome!) to the UN Ghana newsletter. On a quarterly basis, we share with you updates from the UN’s engagement in Ghana across all working areas, such as food security; environment; energy; governance; gender equality; human rights; HIV/Aids; refugees; and many more.

The first months of the year were important for the UN in Ghana for building relationships with the new Government of Ghana. UNCT paid courtesy visits on various Ministers in order to discuss collaboration on Ghana's development agenda, challenges, unfinished business, new opportunities - all with the ambition to work together to achieve the integrated social, economic and environmental objectives of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and to meet its fundamental commitment to leave no one behind.

This edition of the UN Ghana newsletter therefore shares with you some insights into this process, as well as the recent activities of the UN in Ghana and its individual agencies, in areas such as the SDGs, gender equality, human rights and more!
